The Mission Forward Committee brings our community to the table.

Parents, employees, community members, and district leaders are working together to review Pasadena ISD's facilities, programs, and resources and recommend where the district should go next. It is a place for the people who know our schools best to look at the same information we do, ask hard questions, and help decide what comes next for our students.

The work is guided by our 2025-2030 Strategic Plan and organized into two workgroups. The Facilities Committee is looking at building conditions, enrollment and capacity trends, safety, how well our campuses are being used, and long-term capital needs. The Programming Committee is looking at academic programs, student support services, staffing, access, and outcomes. Meeting updates, presentations, and resources will be posted here throughout the process, and we want to hear from you along the way.

Committee Goals

A guiding principle of this initiative is that this is your district. It is built for the students and the community. The Mission Forward Committee was formed to ensure that as Pasadena ISD evolves, our community remains at the center of the decision-making process.
Multiple stakeholders have a seat at the table to review district data and assess our long-term needs. As an exploratory committee, this group is dedicated to studying current information, asking questions, and discovering the best possible pathways forward without predetermined outcomes. The committee is tasked with determining next steps collaboratively and will report its unified findings to the Board of Trustees at a future meeting.

Every piece of data reviewed and every recommendation drafted by the Mission Forward Committee connects directly back to the 2025-2030 Pasadena ISD Strategic Plan. As the committee evaluates our district landscape, their work is firmly rooted in advancing our three core strategic priorities:

  • Excellence: Providing a best-in-class education that builds confidence, expands opportunities, and prepares students for a future where they can thrive.
  • Opportunity: Equipping students with the skills they need for success beyond graduation, including early childhood education, career exploration, and leadership development.
  • Experience: Fostering a culture of belonging by creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where students, families, and staff feel valued and connected.
