What Is an Out‑of‑District Transfer?
An Out‑of‑District Transfer is for students who live outside Pasadena ISD but would like to attend a Pasadena ISD school. We’re happy to review these requests and appreciate families taking the time to submit the required information.
Please note: School records from your child’s current school are required to process this request.
How to Apply for a NEW Out‑of‑District Transfer
Applying is easy! Just follow these steps:
- Create a ScribChoice Family Account
- Add your student(s)
- Complete the transfer application
- Upload the required documents, including:
- Parent/Guardian photo ID
- Grades
- Attendance
- Discipline records

To ensure a smooth review, applications will not be processed until all documents are submitted.
You will need to upload:
- Parent/Guardian photo ID
- Two current proofs of residence
- School records, including:
- Attendance
- Grades
- Discipline records*
- ARD or 504 documents (if applicable)
* If there is no discipline record, submit a signed letter on school letterhead stating this.

Once all documents are received, applications are carefully reviewed. Please keep in mind:
- Transfers are not automatic
- Approval is based on:
- Available space at the requested school
- The student’s school history
- Approval is granted by the principal of the requested school

If applying during the school year:
- Your student must stay enrolled at their current school
- Leaving early may cause the transfer to be denied

This option is for students who:
- Are currently attending Pasadena ISD on an out‑of‑district transfer
- Need to renew enrollment for the upcoming school year
