Hello! My name is Debra Yocum. This is my 16th year as the librarian at Melillo Middle School. I am the first librarian for Melillo.

When I’m not working, you may find me reading a book, knitting, spending time with my family and our eight cats! I began my education career as a 5th grade Reading teacher in 2001. I became a school librarian in 2005. This is my 19th year as a librarian. I have three college degrees: an Associate’s (from San Jacinto College), a Bachelor’s Degree (from UHCL), and a Master’s Degree in Library Science (from UHCL).
