Pasadena ISD Students Earn $19,500 in Scholarships at Rodeo Art Auction

PASADENA, Texas — Six Pasadena ISD students stood out at this year’s Pasadena Livestock Show & Rodeo Art Auction, earning top honors and selling their artwork for a combined $19,500 in scholarships.
Pasadena ISD’s visual art program continues to gain recognition at both regional and state levels, thanks to the dedication of its talented students and passionate educators. The district proudly supports the next generation of artists in reaching their full creative potential.
High School Winners:
- Julio S., Sam Rayburn High School – Grand Champion – $5,000
- Madelyn A., Dobie High School – Reserve Champion – $5,000
- Joshua W., Memorial High School – 3rd Place – $3,000
- Allisen A., Sam Rayburn High School – 4th Place – $1,500
- Yaretzi A., Dobie High School – 5th Place – $2,000
- Sophia G., Dobie High School – 6th Place – $3,000
In addition to the auction, Pre-K through eighth grade students had the opportunity to compete and showcase their talents, as their artwork was on display at Campbell Hall throughout the rodeo season.
