Brandi Johnson
Director, 504, Dyslexia, & Intervention
Brandi Johnson currently serves as the Director of 504, Dyslexia, and Intervention, where she partners with campuses to strengthen systems, processes, and instructional frameworks that support equitable services for all learners. Her work focuses on building clear structures for identification, intervention, progress monitoring, and campus-based problem solving.
Brandi brings experience across multiple levels in PISD, having served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, intervention specialist, and coordinator of Texas Reading Academies and PK compliance. Throughout her career, she has specialized in the science of teaching reading, evidence‑based literacy instruction, and supporting students with reading difficulties. She works with campuses to strengthen their use of the Effective Schools Framework and the PLC at Work® process, with an emphasis on aligning planning, assessment, analysis, and intervention to high‑quality instructional practices.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Park University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Lamar University. Brandi also maintains certifications in English as a second language, special education, and the science of teaching reading.
