PreK Registration

Registering your Pre-K Child using Skyward Online Registration

To be eligible to attend Pre-kindergarten in the Pasadena Independent School District a student must be four on or before September 1, 2022 (2022-2023) or September 1, 2023 (2023-2024), and meet one of the six eligibility guidelines listed below.

  • To qualify for a PK4 your child must be 4 on or before September 1, 2021 (2022-2023) or September 1, 2022 (2023-2024) and meet at least ONE of the following requirements:

    • Qualify for free and reduced lunch
    • Limited English Speaking (English is not your child’s first language) (determined by Oral Language Test)
    • Child is homeless
    • Parent is active duty military
    • Parent was injured or killed while serving on active duty military.
    • Child is or has been in foster care
    • Child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as a peace officer, firefighter or emergency medical first responder

    If your child turns 4 by September 1st and does not qualify for Pre-k you may enroll in the district’s tuition program.
    Your zoned school will be able to help you register in the tuition program if you are interested in enrolling your child.

  • You will need an email address to start the process. If you do not already have an email account.

  • You must live within the district boundaries to attend Pasadena ISD. Prior to starting the online process, you will need to know to which campus your home address is zoned. You must select your zoned campus during the online process.

    • In the search box located at the top left corner, type your home address and click enter
    • A pop-up box will include a list of schools zoned to your address.
  • Families registering online must scan and upload the following:

    • One proof of residency is required to complete the online process.
      (Current gas, water, electric, or cable bill)
    • If you have a smartphone or tablet, you can take a picture of the document and upload it with your device.
      NOTE: You will be required to provide one additional proof of residence when completing the registration process at the campus.

  • Your home campus will contact you to set up a time to bring the following required documents:

    1. The Child’s Birth Certificate
    2. Your Child’s up-to-date immunization records.
    3. Two Current Proofs of Residency in the Pasadena Independent School District (mortgage or lease and a gas, water or electric bill)
    4. Social Security Card (Social Security Card is recommended but not required. A student who does not provide or have a social security card will be assigned a state identification number.)
    5. Eligibility Documentation to prove child's eligibility to attend pre-k, if one of the following eligibility guidelines applies to your family.

    Educationally Disadvantaged: Qualifies under the income guidelines of the National School Lunch Program. One of the following forms of Documentation Required:

    • Two current paycheck stubs,
    • Notarized letter from employer stating gross wages paid and how often paid,
    • Current unemployment document
    • Disability payment stub
    • Current SNAP or TANF documentation
    • Current Medicaid documentation

    Military:

    • Military identification (Parent must be on active duty)
    • Or, the appropriate letter must be provided and verified (injured/killed while on active duty)

    Foster Care: Department of Family and Protective Services Form 2085

    Children of recipients of the Star of Texas Award: Certificate awarded to the parent of the child

    Limited English Proficiency:

    • Oral Language Proficiency Test will be administered
    • LPAC committee gives final approval
    • Family will be contacted regarding eligibility

    Homeless: Eligibility to be determined when identified by the Pasadena ISD Homeless Liaison in August.
