To empower students and their families by providing comprehensive social work services that promote academic success, emotional well-being, and social development. We are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive school environment through advocacy, intervention, and collaboration with community resources.  We advocate for the needs of our students by working closely with families and community partners to ensure a holistic approach to education and well-being.

District Social Workers

At Pasadena ISD, our social workers are committed to creating a supportive environment where every student and parent feels valued. They collaborate with guardians to provide indirect student services, including short-term case management and referrals to enhance overall well-being.

Our social workers advocate for students’ mental and emotional health by connecting them with essential services and promoting a culture of care. They equip parents with skills to navigate challenges, fostering resilience and success.

In collaboration with parents and staff, Pasadnea ISD social workers address behavioral interventions and mental health services, offering crisis assistance and guidance on best practices. They also partner with shelters, victim advocates, law enforcement, and mental health professionals to connect families with necessary resources.

We believe that supporting families is crucial to student success.  Through comprehensive support and advocacy, our social workers strive to nurture both students and their families.

Sustainable Learning for Our Future

Mountain SD is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint and fostering a culture of sustainability within its schools and central office.

Sustainability is a core value for our district, and we strive to create a learning environment that promotes environmental responsibility for future generations.

The district has implemented a comprehensive program that includes a variety of initiatives. These include:

  • installing solar panels on school rooftops to generate clean energy
  • implementing a robust recycling and composting program to reduce waste
  • promoting the use of electric school buses for cleaner transportation
  • parterning with local farms to source fresh, locally-grown food for its cafeterias

These efforts are not only benefiting the environment, but also creating a more engaging learning experience for students. Through school gardens and outdoor classrooms, students are actively involved in understanding environmental issues and exploring sustainable solutions.

Mountain SD is committed to continuing its leadership in sustainability and inspiring other school districts to adopt similar practices.
