GUEST SPEAKERS

Guest speakers are encouraged as a part of the district’s instructional program. School personnel are responsible for previewing program content to insure that the presentation is relevant and appropriate for the intended student audience. The principal shall approve all guest speakers and will maintain a record detailing the speaker’s name, sponsoring organization, classroom and the subject of the presentation.

The principal shall determine if the content of the program warrants parental contact. If so, parent permission shall be required and student participation shall be optional. A campus administrator shall be present during the presentation.

Parents may make an appointment to attend any guest speaker presentation.

Questions or concerns from parents about speakers should be addressed to the teacher or principal.
