TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT: BUS MAINTENANCE

The following procedures shall be observed to ensure proper bus maintenance: 1. Buses shall be kept in condition to pass inspection at all times. 2. Buses shall be checked for proper mechanical condition at least      quarterly. 3. All buses shall be equipped with a fire extinguisher and first aid kit. 4. All buses shall be clearly marked as school buses. 5. The interiors of all buses shall be well ventilated at all times to prevent      carbon monoxide poisoning. 6. Exhaust pipe, manifold, and floorboard shall be checked regularly for      leaks. 7. Bus drivers must complete a daily maintenance form each morning      before operating the bus.
