The Newswire
In this screen the producer looks at the new announcements and move them over to the rundown. On busy days that have a lot of announcements it is good to prioritize the closest dates.
News Wire
Purpose: To allow producers to view all announcements entered by teachers.
Ability: Producers have the ability to move selected announcements to the script.
Dangers: Producers can delete or archive announcements.
Buttons
Save and Close
This button saves the changes you have made and closes the newswire window. Your changes will not be seen in the rundown until you save and close.
Move to Rundown
This places a check by the announcements you would like to move to the rundown for the current show. If the announcement does not have a check then it remains in the News Wire section.
Archive
This also places a check by an announcement but the announcement will be deleted from the Newswire and the script. Once an announcement has been checked for archiving and the window is saved and closed the announcement will have to be reentered.
Most Common Errors
- 1.Announcement was overlooked and not moved to script.
- 2.The senior producer was absent and newswire was not checked.
- 3.Two producers in the newswire at the same time. Only one Producer should be in the newswire at a time.
