Conference 11:45-12:30

A product of Pasadena ISD, Mr. Nguyen attended elementary school at Golden Acres.  While at Park View Intermediate, he learned to play the trombone in the band and to play the cello in the orchestra.  He graduated from Sam Rayburn High School and earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Houston.

During his last semester at the University of Houston, Mr. Nguyen was assigned to student teach at Sparks with Mrs. Dunford.  He had planned to be a band director.  However, after spending several weeks at Sparks, he discovered that teaching elementary students was way too fun!  He has taught music at Sparks since 2005.

Mr. Nguyen is also an adjunct director of the Pasadena Memorial High School Band, teaches private trombone lessons, and deejays.  He performs regularly with The 225 Big Band, The Reckoning, and the St. Pius V Catholic Church Ensemble.

In his free time, Mr. Nguyen plays the guitar and drums, learns about new technology, and practices martial arts.
