Consider the following 4 events:

•  American victory at Saratoga
• French entry into the war against Britain
• British defeat at Yorktown
• Signing of the Treaty of Paris

Use your knowledge of U.S. History or from your readings; explain how each event helped to cause the next event.  Present your answer clearly and logically.

Read the Declaration of Independence, pay particular attention to the last paragraph.  Discuss the consequences of signing the document and speculate what would have happened to the signers if the United States had NOT won the Revolution.

"The French and Indian War, in its impact on the trans Appalachian Indian tribes, the colonists, and the British government, proved the catalyst that brought on the American Revolution."  Cite relevant historical evidence in support of your generalization and present your arguments clearly and logically.

Reflective Essay - Answer at length

1. Examine any two courses you took at your home campus and discuss how ideas presented in one course applied to or were useful in the second.
2. Examine the relationship of your education to your intended or desired career path, looking at such issues as preparation and suitability to the job.  Explain in what ways you hope your education will enhance your performance on the job.
3. Examine and discuss the way you've changed over the past four years in terms of how you relate to the larger community, looking at the adult role you hope to play in the community.
4. Discuss the most significant ethical challenge or dilemma you confronted during your high school years.  Explain what you have learned about yourself and others from the experience.
