Principal's Message
Welcome Back! It’s with great excitement that we begin the 2008-2009 school year. We continue to encourage all of our students and parents to get involved. Here are some tips in making the new school year a success:
· Encourage your child to write down assignments in their notebooks and check it at least once a week.
· Make sure your child is organized and has all the tools they need for success (ie: pens, pencils, notebook paper, etc.,)
· Stay in close communication with your child’s teachers. E-mail or call them as often as possible making sure your child is being successful in school.
· Check their progress reports and report cards every three weeks. Check our web and/or the school marquee for dates.
· Encourage your child to join an organization (ie: sports, band, choir, dance, orchestra, Spanish club, etc.,)
· Encourage your child to come to tutoring as often as possible.
With a little planning and assistance, and some extra effort, your child will finish the year on a good note. By showing interest in your child’s education, you are showing an interest in your child. That kind of support will encourage your child to work harder & be successful.
Thank you,
Mrs. L. Gomez
