Community Story Time

Richey has Community Story Time every Wednesday starting at 9:00a.m.  Pre-school children and afternoon Pre-K are welcome.  Story Time features several stories in Spanish, Alphabet and Number practice, an ESL lesson and a craft.  Parents are encouraged to checkout books for their children afterwards.

Planet of Books Bookstore

Planet of Books Bookstore, run by our fourth grade students in the Entrepreneur's Club, is open Fridays from 2:00-3:30.  Most books are priced from $1.50-3:00.  The Bookstore offers books in both Spanish and English.  Parents are welcome.

Libros Para Padres

Richey's Library has a special section just for parents.  It is called the Libros Para Padres section.  The section has special books and magazines JUST for parents in both Spanish and English.  The section features everything from parenting books and cookbooks to celebrity magazines and novellas.  Come check this section out for your reading enjoyment.

Parents as Patrons

Parents can sign up at the library to checkout books for both themselves and their children.  With a valid picture ID such as a drivers licenses, Consulate card or Immigration card, parents can register as patrons.  Parents are allowed to check out 4 student books and 2 selections from the Libros Para Padres section.  Families that read together, Lead together!  Books are BRAIN FOOD!
