  Richey Elementary is fortunate to have the support and involvement of Lyondell-Citgo as a community business partner. What follows is a description of the many ways in which Lyondell-Citgo assists Richey Elementary in enriching the curriculum, supporting students and staff, as well as reaching campus improvement goals.    
 

TIME

Perhaps one of the most precious gifts, Lyondell-Citgo allows and encourages its employees to volunteer at our campus in the following ways:

  • Tutoring of students
  • Pen Pals for 3rd and 4th grade students
  • Junior Achievement for the entire school

 

    
 

INCENTIVES

   
  Both students and staff are offered numerous incentives throughout the year, to encourage quality work and performance. Some of these items include:
  • Spirit shirts for the entire faculty
  • Tickets for the staff to community events
  • Hats and bags for each student and faculty member
  • Accelerated Reader and TAKS Incentives
   
 

DONATIONS

Each year Lyondell-Citgo provides food baskets to several of our families for the Holiday season, awards scholarship money for uniforms and provides the campus with items to improve our school. They have repainted the cafeteria, purchased new curtains for the stage and mini blinds for the windows in our school, as well as donated many computers, a copy machine and a new refrigerator.
