TYPES OF RECORDS MICROFILMED
|
Reports and records to be microfilmed include:
1. Student Records
2. Personnel Records
3. Financial Records
4. Tax Records
5. Police Department Records
6. Board of Trustees’ Records.
Decisions regarding specific records to be
microfilmed within the above categories will be based on the
appropriate Texas State Library and Archives Commission Local
Records Retention Schedules. Specific records to be microfilmed will
be identified on individual school and department records control
schedules.

MICROFILM INDEXES
|
Indexes to be developed and maintained on records
may include a hard copy indexing system and/or a computerized
indexing system.

MICROFILM STANDARDS AND PROCEDURES
|
All microfilm intended for permanent retention of
district records shall meet the Texas State Library and Archives
Commission Standards and Procedures for Microfilming Local
Government Records as published in Chapter 204, Local Government
Code.

MICROFILM ACCURACY
|
Prior to the destruction of source records, the
appropriate custodian of Records or his designee shall certify that
the microfilm is a complete and accurate version of the records. The
Records Management Officer shall approve destruction of source
records. |
