Jennifer Forst

  Mrs. Jennifer Forst was born in Irving, Texas.  Mrs. Forst has been dancing since the age of 2. She has studied ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, musical theater, and hip hop at the following dance studios: Dana's Dance Studio where she was a member of the Academy Dancers Dance Company and was chosen to attend the National Tap Convention, Jill Ragean's Dance Studio, and Riley's Dance Studio. She is experienced in the following styles of dance: ballet/pointe, lyrical, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, musical theater, pom, kick, military, prop, and novelty.  She served as a Lieutenant for the Irving High School Toy Tiger Drill Team from 1996-2000, was a member of the elite jazz company Swingers from 1996-2000 and was awarded Who's Who in Dance. She was awarded All-Star Performer 1996-2000 where she was given the opportunity to perform at the Florida Citrus Bowl. She won Division I Superior Ratings and finalist when competing in solo competitions. After high school Mrs. Forst became a member of the professional dance company 5 Degrees of Dance. She attended Sam Houston State University where she was a member of the Spectrum Dance Company and earned a BA in Dance with a minor in psychology, and became certified in Dance. Mrs. Forst has been a Clinic Director, choreographer, instructor and judge for the national dance company MA Dance and Marching Auxiliaries for 7 years. She has also judged regional competitions for Spotlight USA Dance Company. Mrs. Forst has been a dance instructor in the areas of hip hop, jazz, tap, technique, and competition team at the following studios: Dana's Dance Academy, Memorial Drive Dance Studio, and Dance Dynamics. She is a National award winning professional choreographer for various teams in the U.S. She has been an active member of Texas Dance Educators Association for 4 years. Mrs. Forst is the former Dance Team Director of the Bryan High School Award Winning Shy-Anne Dance Team (2004-2005) and the former Dance Team Director of the Westbury High School Blue Diamonds Dance Team. While there, she took the team to Florida Dance Nationals and for the first time in Westbury HS history the Blue Diamonds were awarded the title of the 2006 Novice Dance Team National Champions (2005-2006). Mrs. Forst is honored to work with the team this year and cannot wait to see what these ladies have in store for her.  She knows they will give all their heart because they have already won over hers.
