Dress Code

- Shirts
- Collared Polo style or Oxford style,
appropriately sized with sleeves
- Solid blue, solid white, or solid red color
- NO designs (exception: manufacturer logos 2" or less)
- Appropriately sized
- Solid blue, white, or red color turtlenecks and T-shirts may
be worn underneath the standarized shirt
- NO designs (exception: manufacturer logos 2" or less) and
appropriately sized
- Shirts must remain tucked in at all times
- Shirts and Blouses must be buttoned within one button of the throat
- Pants
- Solid navy or solid khaki colored slacks
- Solid khaki or solid blue jeans free of design and hemmed
- ALL:
- Appropriately sized, fitted and worn at waist
- NO hip huggers
- Fitted in crotch and legs
- NOT baggy or excessively tight
- NO hammer loops or of cargo style
- NO slits
- Continuous, solid color - free of manufactured fading or bleaching
- NO holes, tears
- Skirts and/or Jumpers
- Hemmed solid navy or solid khaki or solid denim skirts
- NO designs
- Appropriately sized
- NOT baggy or excessively tight
- Skirts must be worn at the waist - NO hip huggers
- Slits can come no higher than 2 inches above the kneecap
- Continuous, solid color - free of manufactured fading or bleaching
- NO holes, tears
- Shorts/Skorts
- Belts
- Required for garments made with loops
- Spirit/D.A.R.E. Shirts
- Spirit shirts must be Rayburn sponsored with a Sam
Rayburn logo or school name
- Spirit shirts must be red, white, blue, black, or light grey.
- Spirit shirts must be tucked in and long enough to be tucked in at all
times.
- No Athletic shirts can be worn that are issued by our athletic
departments. This is a U.I.L. violation
- From this point on, spirit shirts purchased by organizations to sell
must be school colors (red, white, or blue) and be approved by the principal
- Shoes
- Must have backs (PE activities require additional appropriate shoes)
- NO skate shoes
- Must remain fastened
- Sweaters/Sweat Shirts/Light Jackets
- Ok over polo/oxford style shirts
- Collar must be visible at all times
- Solid blue, solid white, or solid red
- NO designs
- Appropriately sized
- Campus letter jackets with approved campus-specific logo ok
- Coats
- Placed in locker or designated storage area upon arrival and not removed
until the conclusion of school day
- Backpacks
- Clear, transparent or mesh.
- All backpacks must be placed in the locker upon your arrival at
school.
- Tattoos
- All tattoos must be covered
- Earrings/Body Piercing
- Males are not permitted to wear earrings of any type.
- Students are not permitted to wear other non-traditional rings (lip,
nose, eyebrow, tongue, etc)
- Clips, posts, and/or other devices designed to prevent the piercing area
from closing are not permitted
- Badges
- Student information badges are required to be on one's person at all
times and must be produced upon faculty/staff request.
- Badges shall be replaced at the expense of the student if the badge is
lost, stolen, deformed, defaced, or distorted.
- Badges must be worn in the chest area with a clip or a school
appropriate lanyard.
- Other
- Hair must be neat, clean, well groomed, and may not have shaved designs.
- No type of head covering, cap or hat (such as bandannas, sweatbands,
etc.) may be worn on campus. No hair rollers or long handled combs may be
worn on campus.
- Sideburns must be kept neatly trimmed and must not extend below ear
level or flare at the bottom
- Mustaches and beards are prohibited, and faces must be clean-shaven.
- Revealing or excessively tight garments are prohibited.
ALL STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN DRESS
CODE BEFORE ENTERING THE BUILDING!!!!

Cell Phone Policy:

During the school day, paging devices, including cell
phones are accessories, must remain out of sight and must be
turned off
