In 2004-05, the Fine Arts Department of Sam Rayburn High School produced its first musical in 20 years, Crazy for You and followed that performance with Steel Pier in 2005-06 and Bells Are Ringing in 06-07, all of which featured outstanding performances by students and teachers alike.  Rayburn's 2007-08 production of The Will Rogers Follies earned Tommy Tune Award Nominations in the Costume Design, Set Design and Best Actress categories. We continued the tradition again in 2008-09 with Singin' in the Rain earning a Tommy Tune Award nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category and the "...best rain we've ever seen onstage". The 2009-2010 production of Little Shop of Horrors promises to be very entertaining as well, with outstanding performances by veteran performers as well a those new to Rayburn musical theater and a life-size man-eating plant. You won't want to miss it!
