THE CHORAL PROGRAM OF SAM RAYBURN HIGH SCHOOL     We welcome you as a member of the Sam Rayburn High School choral program.  Membership is open to students who have basic skills in music and/or those who are willing to learn the necessary skills.   Choir is an essential part of the curriculum at SRHS.  You will learn concepts of vocal and choral technique, music theory, sight-reading, and music history, and you will be provided opportunities for creative self-expression.  The area of knowledge presented in the choral program is not duplicated in any other curricular offering and provides for a well-balanced curriculum.   The responsibilities for membership in the choral program include a positive individual attitude and team spirit, eligibility in all classes, attendance at all required rehearsals and performances, and a commitment to excellence.   Please make yourself familiar with all the responsibilities and expectations of membership in the SRHS choral program.  We look forward to a successful and rewarding year!         I have read and understand the procedures and expectations of the Sam Rayburn High School choral program.  I also acknowledge receipt of a calendar of events for the school year.                                                               ____________________________________                                                           Print Student Name                                                               ____________________________________                                                           Student Signature                                                               ____________________________________                                                           Parent Signature
