What is ENCORE!?

ENCORE! is Sam Rayburn High School's Show Choir whose members are chosen via auditions each year. In addition to their singing and dancing abilities, qualities and characteristics such as commitment, dedication, respect for authority, self, and others, a cooperative attitude, etc. are valued considerations.

What does ENCORE! do?

Members of ENCORE! are incredibly busy throughout the school year entertaining at community, school, public and private functions of various types. In addition to the traditional singing of the National Anthem at all home SR Texan football games, past performances have included Houston Rockets basketball games and a Houston Aeros hockey game. In addition to these, ENCORE! has performed at Disney World in Orlando, Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington and Moody Gardens in Galveston. Community performances have included Veterans Day programs, the City of Pasadena Christmas Tree Lighting ceremonies as well as meetings of the Rotary and Optimist Clubs and private parties for TOTAL and the Pasadena Little Theater. These are but a few of the many performances by ENCORE! just over the past 2 years. We proudly consider ourselves Sam Rayburn High School's "Public Relations Team".
