ARTICLES
I.
Name:
The name of this club shall be
YOUTH FOR CHRIST.
II.
Purpose:
The purpose of Youth for
Christ is to provide students who have similar beliefs in
Christ with an opportunity to fellowship in a non-denominational
Christian atmosphere and to meet the spiritual needs of students on
our campus.
III.
Members:
Any student enrolled at
Sam Rayburn
High School may join Youth for Christ.
Students interested in the club
should show evidence of:
1.
A sincere interest in
becoming a positive role model for others.
2.
A positive attitude
toward Sam Rayburn
High School.
3.
A desire to network
with others in order to help our student body achieve excellence in
character.
IV.
Officers:
1.
The officers of
Youth for Christ shall consist of President, Vice
President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, and Social Coordinator.
2.
The board shall
consist of the elected officers and the sponsor(s).
3.
The officers shall be
elected at a designed meeting with at least half the members of the
club present. Members of the club shall vote on nominees, and the
nominee with the majority vote will be elected.
4.
The officer will be
elected in August and serve the remainder of the school year.
V.
Duties of
Members:
Members should support Youth
for Christ and act responsibly in all walks in life. Members
should attend meetings and participate in the activities of Youth
for Christ.
VI.
Meetings:
The meetings of Youth for
Christ will take place every Wednesday morning at 7:10 a.m.
in room 1210, unless arranged to meet in the commons area. We will
also schedule to meet once a month outside of school; time and place
to be arranged.
