UP-Coming GEAR UP Events

Parents,

There will be a GEAR UP Parent Meeting on Tuesday, September 15, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the PMHS auditorium. 

Laurie Etnyre, PMHS GEAR UP Campus Coordinator, will show a short slide show of some of  the 2008-2009 GEAR UP highlights and will go over the GEAR UP plans for the coming 2009-2010 school year. 

Parents will also have the opportunity to meet the new PMHS principal, Dr. Stallings, and their 10th

grade principal, Mr. Blain.

Since the PMHS counseling center has been reorganized by Alpha instead of grade level, parents will also have the opportunity to meet their students counselor.

Up-Coming College Trips

Students who are interested in a career in culinary arts will have the opportunity to visit the San Jacinto College School of Culinary Arts on Wednesday, September 30, from 11:30-1:30.  Students will be instructed by Chef Pringle as he shows them hands on instruction on how to prepare a meal.  Parents who are interested in attending this field trip may contact Laurie Etnyre.

Students interested in visiting the University of Houston and the athletic department will have the opportunity on Friday, October 8, 2009.  Parents who are interested in attending this college field trip are welcomed to contact Laurie Etnyre.
