The assignment

A research project is a requirement for English IVA.  Research topics will be two-sided social, political, or economic issues.  Both sides of each issue will be discussed in oral presentations to the class.

Your final paper must be  three to four typed pages.  Your paper will use in-text documentation following the PISD research paper guide and demonstrate your ability both to paraphrase and to use direct quotations.

Read the Class Handouts to get complete information.

Information needed

Your research should gather information that provides "data" to support your position, statistics, definition (s) and a direct quotation from an expert.

This information will be gathered from a minimum of four sources:  at least one of the sources must be a book.  You may use more than one book.  Read the Class Handouts to get complete information.
