Presidential Illustrated Timeline

Requirements: Front Side

1.      A central illustration (it can be one picture or a collage with a focal point.) ( SEE MODEL)

2.    The central illustration must have the name of your president clearly indicated as a title, and you must have a subtitle as well.  You may come up with this on your own, or it may be something that you found in your research.

3.     You must have 10 small pictures or icons surrounding the central illustration in a circular fashion.  These must correlate to the ten events or achievements that you have chosen to illuminate this president’s accomplishments. Three of the events can be biographical information about your president and should summarize early years, family life, and retirement years.  The other seven events must highlight achievements or accomplishments of his presidential administration. They must be displayed in chronological order.  They should be numbered from one to ten and there must be arrows pointing from the first event to the second event and so on until the last event.  (SEE MODEL)

1.        You should have a centered title for your timeline.

2.      You must number the paragraphs in chronological order correlating with the ten small illustrations on the front.

3.       Each event should be summarized in paragraph format and complete sentences. (5 sentence minimum)

Grading Rubric:

Front- Central Illustration/Title/Subtitle: 20 pts.

             Each numbered illustration: 8 pts.

Back- Each numbered paragraph: 20 pts.  

Total Pts: 300

** To receive all the points, your illustrations must be neatly displayed and colored.  Excellence would look like this:

·                   clear visual focal point

·                   neatness

·                   logical flow of ideas

·                   color and creativity

·                   Icons that correlate to important contributions of your president that have visual impact.
