Citing Sources

 
STEP 1.  Task Definition
 

Creating a Works Cited page is a requirement for most research projects.  A Works Cited page provides a listing of all resources that were used to create your paper, PowerPoint presentation, collage, speech, or any other kind of product.

 
 

Today is a practice exercise in becoming more familiar with the process and creation of a Works Cited page.

  Encyclopedia (in print)

Book on your topic

Electronic Encyclopedia (Britannica; Grolier)

Electronic Database (Any of the Gale resources; Facts on File; Electric Library)

 
     
 

Use your handout to gather two important facts about your topic from each of the three resources you select.  Be sure to write down the needed citation information about your resource.
