Use library resources as well as suggested "free web" resources to locate information on your court case.

To locate specific reporters, the advanced search on subscription resources such as Gale, ProQuest Gold, EBSCO HostWeb allows you to search and retrieve lists of articles by specific reporters.  Linda Greenhouse of the New York Times, Joan Biskupic of USA Today and Charles Lane of the Washington Post are considered authorities in this area.   **You can also search the TImes, USA Today or the Washington Post  web sites for articles. ABC-CLIO -- select ISSUES- for overview articles on social issues

Facts on File --American History  (useful for background information if your case is from "the past")

Evaluating Sources

Be sure to utilize credible and reliable sources  -- articles that are self-published or that rely on personal opinion, publications that are slanted in favor of one side, or sites that are strongly commercial will not meet criteria required from good researchers.  Resources found on the Research Resources page have authority and can be considered credible and reliable
