  • Pasadena High School and the Pasadena ISD Child Nutrition Department are pleased to announce the introduction of the universal breakfast program at our campus. This program is being offered in an effort to enhance the education of our students. Studies show that students who eat breakfast each day have higher test scores and longer attention spans. Teachers report that students demonstrate increased on-task behaviors, as well as decreased tardiness, and physical complaints. What a great way to make the most of education and enjoy a good meal!

Starting Feb. 2, 2009, students that used to pay full or reduced prices for breakfast will now be offered this meal for free. However, they will still need to pay for lunch as usual.

Students, make plans to come early and enjoy a free breakfast. It will be served from 6:30 to 7:05 AM.

The Thomas L. Hancock Resource Center is back!

The Thomas L. Hancock Resource Center has re-opened after it sustained significant water damage from Hurricane Ike.

The librarians, Jane Golenko & Linda Duke as well as the library aide, Linda McCollum, worked hard to continue to provide services to the students and faculty while the library was being repaired. They also were diligent in restoring all of the book collections and has re-arranged some items for better use.

  • If you or your family need any assistance following Hurricane Ike, Jesse Ruiz with Communities in School has provided some resources for your use.

In addition, Mr. Ruiz will be glad to assist students and their parents over the phone or in person. Call the school if you need to speak to him or to any of the school counselors concerning help needed following the storm.

The classes that are being offered right now are Government, Economics, English IV B, BCIS I, World Geography, Health, and Astronomy. The cost of the class is $100. These are not remedial classes. They have been designed to challenge the students just as they would be challenged in the classroom. Also, students can check the PVS website for more information and other classes or view the linked flyer. See a counselor for more information.
