Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Associate's degree

OR

• Completed two years of study at an institution of higher education (minimum 48 hours or more)

• Pass District's Paraprofessional's Assessment of Competencies

Requirements and Skills:
-Ability to work with special needs students
(All levels: ELEMENTARY, INTERMEDIATE. HIGH SCHOOL)
-restrain disruptive students
-work in a stressful situation and maintain confidentiality issues
-Assist: teacher in routine classroom management duties
-in the loading and unloading of the school bus
-with individual student's personal hygiene needs
-Lift, move, and position students in a variety of settings
-Feed or assist students in feeding themselves
