Qualifications:

BS in Computer Science, or related area; or equivalent
professional experience

Formal application-specific training is desirable
-
Microsoft Certifications such as MCSD, MCDBA, and MCP are
preferred
Major
Responsibilities and Duties:
-
Proficiency in MS/SQL server databases and be able to
create tables, views, procedures, functions, data transformation
services packages, and jobs
-
Development of complex reports using Crystal and SSRS
with Visual Studio with multiple data connections to various data source
types, real-time and on-demand drilling and sub-reports, parameters, and
dynamic groupings under the direct supervision of Business Application
Services Coordinator

Work directly with district departments and campuses to
gather business application related specifications and develop solutions
on timely schedule

Collaboration and work directly with other business
application team members on a daily basis in an effort to meet customer
and project requirements along with cross training so that all team
members have understanding of different area requirements within
department

Create, maintain, and update technical manuals and
documentation for internally developed software.

Serve as database administrator, ensuring integrity
control and data security for various applications
-
Develop and run special reports and queries.
-
Identify application-related problems and recommend
solutions.

Responds to users requests for assistance (Help Desk
tickets, phone, email).

Instruct and train users during formal training classes
on correct system usage.

Communicates with vendors to resolve system issues.
