Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

• Associate's degree

OR

• Completed two years of study at an institution of higher education (minimum 48 hours or more)

OR

• Pass District's Paraprofessional's Assessment of Competencies

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist the teacher in small or large group instruction in physical skill development
• Assist in providing a safe learning environment and preventing injuries
• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials, records, reports, inventories, etc.
• Record and/or file students’ work as directed by the teacher
• Assist with the care and maintenance of equipment
• Maintain confidentiality of student records
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal
