Effective Date: 2008-2009 School Year
Salary Range:  $ 56,856 - $85,968/Year (Commensurate with qualifications)

Qualifications:

• SBEC Counselor Certification or within 6 semester hours of certification

Preference:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of the Admission, Review, and Dismiss (ARD) process

• Experience coordinating transition services for students with disabilities

• Knowledge of special education law

• Experience working with special populations in regards to diagnostic and prescriptive behavioral interventions

• Experience in determining student testing placements in regards to TAKS, TAKS-A, TAKS-M and TAKS-Alt

• Efficient organizational and time-management skills

• Team player who brings a collaborative spirit and servant attitude to the Leadership Team 

• High School teaching/counselor experience
