Qualifications: 

·        Bachelor’s Degree

·        Texas Teaching Certificate

·        At least four years teaching experience

·        Certification in the grade levels for which you are applying

·        Bilingual 

Preference: 

·        Master’s Degree

·        Ability to teach students to read using a variety of intervention strategies to meet individual learning

·        Experience leading staff development for adults

·        Ability to provide instructional leadership in multiple settings

·        Ability to use interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents, and teachers

·        Experience in providing support for teachers in curriculum areas such as identifying appropriate modifications, accommodations, and instructional strategies to be used with students

·        Understand the implementation and procedures concerning Dyslexia and Related Disorders which includes assessment and treatment for students experiencing difficulty learning to read, write, and spell

·        Ability to implement diagnostic prescriptive instruction which includes assessing students needs through multiple sources, interpreting data, and using specific intervention strategies
