Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting
• Minimum (3) three years auditing experience (internal or external)
• Certified public accountant
• Certified internal auditor preferred                                                                                            

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Determine adequacy of internal controls within the District
• Ensure compliance with procedures, regulations, policies and applicable laws
• Examine the efficiency and effectiveness of operations
• Assist training new secretaries/bookkeepers with accounting requirements, money handling, petty cash checking, and appropriate internal controls for PISD budget funds, activity funds, and student organizations
• Audit campuses and departments for adequacy of internal controls and compliance with PISD policies and procedures
