The Sam Rayburn Tex-Anns are turning 40, and to celebrate, the group is holding a reunion for alumna from 1967 through 2006.

The Tex-Anns (veteran and current) will perform a simple routine during halftime at the Nov. 9 Rayburn vs. Pasadena varsity football game and all alumnae are encouraged to participate. 

Saturday practices will be held on Sept. 22, Oct. 13 and 20, and Nov. 3 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Sam Rayburn Dance Room located at the school. The Nov. 3 practice will be held at the Veterans Memorial Stadium. An alumnae tea will also be held on Nov. 3 from 12-2 p.m. in the dance room. There is no cost, and a special edition T-shirt will be provided for all participants to perform in. 

"We want to show everyone the Tex-Ann tradition is holding strong," said the Tex-Ann director Jennifer Williams. "It will be fun to have that one last performance with all of the years combined and to recognize their dedication to the program and their support to our current members."
