Elementary School students and their families recently enjoyed the
school’s annual Family Math Night.
The night is one where parents and their
students enjoy hands-on, computer generated and interactive board
activities that focus on skills and content taught in the classroom.
More than 200 students and their family members attended the event.
“Family math night is such a great concept
because it’s a great learning tool for the parents,” said parent
Graciela Arredondo.
Students and their parents had access to the
school’s computer lab and teachers worked with them in the cafeteria
with fun hands-on approaches to math.
“We want the entire family involved because it
is the awareness of using math in our daily lives and practicing the
skills taught at school that help our students improve their math
skills,” said the school’s principal Lena Rohne. |
