Twenty juniors and seniors from the Sam Rayburn High School JROTC were hosted by Sam Houston State University to attend their family tailgate party and final home game recently against Nicholls State. The students had the opportunity to visit organizational booths and tour the campus. According to JROTC instructor Lt. Col. Alan Mooneyham, the visit gave the students a chance to experience college life and spark their interest in pursuing higher education.
