Several Pasadena ISD students were winners in the Pasadena Fire
Department’s Fire Prevention Contest held recently.
Miranda Cortez, a second grader at Red Bluff Elementary, won
first place in the primary division and Liliana Guevara took
third place in the same category.
Bailey Elementary’s Riley Chambers placed second in the junior
division, while Marco Ortuno of Teague Elementary finished
third. South Shaver’s Jazlyn Tobias received fourth place honors
and Selena Flores from Mae Smythe Elementary received honorable
mention.
In the intermediate division, Eduardo Hinojosa of Bondy took
first place and Sokneth Nao of Jackson was a third-place winner.
Alberto Flores of Jackson captured fourth place in this
division. Elizabeth Razo of Sam Rayburn was a first-place winner
in the high school division and Adrian Avila of Rayburn captured
second. Rayburn’s Selene Betancourt, Anival Avila and Rubi
Rodriguez took third, fourth and honorable mention,
respectively.
