Pasadena High and Sam Rayburn
football teams bring their long-time rivalry to the field at 7
p.m. on Nov. 9, but they will put school differences aside
during halftime as veterans are honored with a special halftime
presentation by bands, drill teams, and the junior ROTC
programs. Veterans are invited to attend this game and will be
presented lapel pins to wear as a thank you from the students
and staff for the sacrifices and contributions they have made
for our country’s freedom.
“Our students and staff want to
recognize this group of people who have given so significantly
of themselves. By publicly honoring veterans we are all reminded
of their contributions and our responsibility as citizens to
maintain the freedoms they have provided,” explained Principals
Chris Bolyard and Robert Stock of Pasadena High and Sam Rayburn
High respectively. “Our directors and performance groups work
together closely to make this joint project successful.”
