Dobie's Karima Christmas selected
to participate in All-America Game

Dobie High School’s Karima Christmas was only of two players from Texas selected to participate in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-America Game.

The players who have been chosen will be divided into two teams of ten players. The college-style regulation game is scheduled for Saturday, March 31, at Cleveland State University’s Woodling Gym in Cleveland, Ohio.  The event is part of the WBCA National Convention, which takes place at the site of the NCAA Women’s Final Four.

“This is a great honor for Karima,” said Dobie girls head basketball coach Doug Gibson. “She is an outstanding player and student and we are extremely proud of her.”

For the past 16 years, the WBCA High School All-America Team Selection Committee has selected 20 of the top high school players in the nation to participate in the game.

“The WBCA is honored to play host to the High School All-America Game presented by Nike, continuing to showcase the future stars of our game,” said WBC CEO Beth Bass.
