Dobie students take top spots
at State DECA conference

Two Dobie High School students captured top spots at the State DECA Conference recently. Andrea Vizcaino took first place in the Apparel and Accessories Marketing event at the competition and will advance to the International Career Development Conference in April. Toby Castro captured second place in the Business Services Marketing Competition.

“I am very proud of these students for representing Dobie High School and their employers at the state conference. Being a winner in their events is a fantastic accomplishment, ” said Karen Daigle, Dobie’s DECA advisor.

DECA is the youth organization for students who are currently enrolled in a marketing class. These students work at local employers within the community and are receiving high school and college credit for their work experience.
