The start of the new school year on August 28 will also bring new starting and dismissal times in the Pasadena ISD schools.

The schedule is as follows:

* High Schools – 7:15 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
* Elementary Schools – 7:55 a.m.-3:10 p.m.
* Intermediate Schools – 8:30 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
* Middle Schools – 8:40 a.m.-3:55 p.m.

Due to the addition of two middle schools and the need for increased transportation, the starting and dismissal times will change at all levels for the 2007-2008 school year. The measure was approved by the Pasadena ISD Board of Trustees in March.

With the addition of the schools, the bus schedules needed to move to a 4-tier system or failure to do so would have resulted in the need for $3 million in additional costs. The schedules were shared with all principals and met with their approval.
