The Sam Rayburn Tex-Anns are kicking off the new year with a fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 25 from 8-11 a.m. in the Applebee’s parking lot located on Fairmont.

The team will be selling tickets for Applebee’s breakfast for $7. The breakfast will include pancakes, bacon, juice or milk and coffee and will be served until 10 a.m. The Tex-Anns will also be taking donations for a car wash until 11 a.m. All proceeds will help fund four competitions for the team this year.

“We’re getting started early this year because we are taking 15 dances to competition,” said the Tex-Ann’s director Jennifer Williams. “We have a bigger team this year, and we are extremely excited about competing. Come out and join us on Saturday for good food and clean cars.”
