Matthys Booster Club

The Matthys Elementary Booster Club was founded and Bylaws were adopted on October 8, 1992. 

 Elected positions are:  President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Room Parent Representative

Appointed positions are: Historian, Parliamentarian and Pod Coordinator

Room mother/fathers are chosen by each teacher.

Meetings are scheduled each school year in September, November, January, March and May at 6:30 p.m.

The Fall Festival is held once a year and is the foremost fund raiser that the  Matthys Booster Club sponsors.  Teachers and parents work together to organize this event.  Box Tops for Education is another item the students are asked to collect and bring to school.  Money raised from this is used to purchase items needed for the school and the students of Matthys. 

Some of the contributions the Booster Club has helped obtain is umbrellas for the car rider line, benches and trash cans, umbrellas for the picnic tables in the atrium and a cement book in honor of former teacher, Mary Reed.  The Booster Club also allots funds to assist with Field Trips every year so every child will be able to go.
