READ TO SUCCEED

Every student who reads 600 minutes (10 hours) within a specified period of time will earn a ticket good for a free 1 day admission to a Six Flags Theme Park. (This includes Astroworld in Houston and Fiesta Texas in San Antonio among many others).

The student uses a tally sheet to write down everything that he/she reads and the number of minutes he/she spends reading. Any reading counts: books, comic books, magazines, newspapers, etc. provided it’s recreational reading. Reading to complete school assignments does not count for this 600 min. Reading Club.

Parent letters and tally forms are sent in January and students have approximately 6 weeks to complete the 600 minutes of reading.

Students who complete 600 minutes of reading will receive a Reading Certificate and the Astroworld Ticket around the middle of May.

This year your child will be able to use the ticket between June 15 and August 4th, 2002.
