Goal 1:

Student performance on TAKS, regardless of gender, ethnicity, socio-economic status, or special programs will improve annually to meet the district criteria and maintain Exemplary status.  The gap between "met minimum expectations" and mastered all objectives" will decrease annually.  

Goal 2:  

Technology will be incorporated throughout all grade levels to increase student achievement and teacher productivity.  There will be continuous improvement toward achieving a 90% passing rate for all students on all tests taken on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills.

Goal 3:  

   Matthys Elementary assures effort is made to build a positive climate and improve communication between school, parents, staff, and students.

Goal 4:

Attendance rates will continue to reach beyond the 94% required for exemplary status.
