The end of the year is rapidly approaching and our students are working hard to learn the concepts to be prepared for the next school year. We ask that you review with your child the work that we send home. Below are some suggestions of concepts to review with your child.
Your child needs to be able to identify the capital letters and their sounds:

Review rhyming words:
cat, hat hop, top
sip, tip toy, boy
Review initial and final sounds of words. Also, review and practice deletion of sounds. What is left if we delete the initial sound, or the ending sound of a word. Example: Say hat. Take away the /h/ sound. What is left?

Repase las palabras que riman:
mano, sano silla, pilla cama, rama todo, modo miro, tiro
Repase los sonidos iniciales y finales de las palabras. También que dice una palabra si le quitamos el primer sonido, ó el último sonido. Ejemplo: Diga sapo. Quitele el sonido /s/. Ahora que le queda?
Expectations/ExpectativasWe want your child to achieve success in kindergarten. We will motivate him/her to always strive for success in all areas of life. We need to have mutual participation with the family. The family members in the house have an influential part in which you can help motive and assure a successful school experience for your child.
Nosotros queremos que su hijo(a) logre exito en el kinder. También lo motivaremos a que siempre quiera tener exito en todas las areas de la vida. Necesitamos tener una participation mutua con la familia. Los familiares en la casa tienen una parte influencial en el cual podrían ayudar a motivar y lograr a que su hijo(a) tenga un gran exito en la escuela.
