Tardy Policy
The instructional day begins at 7:50 AM. Students are expected to
be in their classroom and seated by 7:50 AM. The tardy bell
rings at 7:55 AM. Students entering the building after the bell rings
will be counted as tardy and must check in at the front office.
Upon the 5th tardy, students will be assigned to Saturday Truancy
Center. A parent/guardian must attend the Saturday assignment with
the student.

Parent Drop-Off and Pick Up
In the mornings, parents may begin dropping students at the covered
area in the first parking lot at 7:05 AM. The front entrance
driveway is reserved for buses only until 7:30 AM.
In the afternoons, parents of K-4 students may begin picking up
students at the covered area of the first parking lot at 3:05 PM.
Parents of PK students may begin picking up students in the front
entrance driveway at 2:40 PM. All students must be picked up by
2:50 PM. Any parent arriving after that time must sign out their
child at the front office.
Please
reserve early pickups for emergencies only. Teachers teach
during every available moment of their day and the end of the day is
vital for safe exiting procedures. Any changes to student
transportation must be made ONLY by a parent or guardian. In
order to avoid confusion, miscommunication, and transportation
errors, please send a written note or call the office prior to 2:15
PM. We will NOT be able to make transportation changes after
2:15 PM.

TEXTBOOKS
Students are issued textbooks and are responsible for those books.
It is the student’s responsibility to take care of the books. Any
lost or stolen books are the responsibility of the student. The
books belong to the State of Texas and are loaned to the student.
The book or the cost of the book must be returned to the State at
the end of the book’s adoption. Students will not be issued a new
book until a lost or stolen book is replaced. If a book is found
after a student has paid for it, a refund check will be issued.
Book covers are provided for each student free of charge and must be
used with each textbook by state law. |
