Texas Public Schools Week		 Jensen Elementary, at the intersection of Tulip and Vista in Pasadena, recently celebrated its 31st year anniversary. A Texas Recognized School in 1997-98 and 2000-2001 and a district commended school in 1999-00, Jensen Elementary continually strives for excellence in student achievement. A dedicated staff, in partnership with a committed community of parent volunteers, ensures success for each child in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.

The Jensen Elementary faculty and staff are dedicated to the implementation of instructional strategies and methodologies that reflect the best practices in education. Continuous monitoring and assessment of student learning ensures progress for students.

An instructional technology center and computer assisted instruction provide students with skills necessary for success in the 21st century. A commitment to the home-school partnership results in an active PTO, Parent Volunteer program and an outstanding array of programs and activities to involve parents in the education of their children.

At Jensen Elementary, students, teachers and parents are growing and flourishing with many successes. Yet, like a gardener who steadily turns the soil, we continue to change and enhance our school. Enthusiastic life-long learners who contribute positively to society are the fruits of our labor at Jensen Elementary.
