In the 2005-2006 school year, students across the district will be spending 4 six-weeks on American History. We are using a new curriculum in our district called History Alive. It provides more hands-on and alternative styles of learning to help increase your child's enjoyment of Social Studies.
The TEKS set out by TEA will be covered with an American focus or in the last two 6-weeks when we study the Middle East and Europe.
